Duncan Mountain
Guitar | Bass Guitar | Music Industry | Ukulele | Music Theory & Composition
Duncan began his musical journey studying at Durham College before relocating to Edinburgh to pursue a degree in Guitar and Composition at Edinburgh Napier University. Since graduating, he has held a variety of teaching roles in both youth and adult education across Midlothian and Edinburgh Council, and he currently teaches with Deanpark PTA.
Duncan specializes in guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, advanced music theory, and composition. Alongside his teaching career, he has played a key role in the live music industry, managing and coordinating over 500 shows across the UK. His experience spans collaborations with both emerging and established artists from the UK and abroad.
Katherine Mountain
Piano Music Theory
Katherine is originally from Balerno. She graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a first-class honours degree in classical music, and has since been working as an Edinburgh-based piano tutor. Her speciality is preparation for exams and advanced recitals. Although classically trained, she enjoys teaching a wide range of styles and genres.
